Aluminium Coping Installation in Epsom, Surrey

Kladworx were asked to assist with the aluminium coping on a private residential client in Stoneleigh, Epsom, Surrey with an external refurbishment of the existing brickwalls.

The brickwalls had been open to the elements for many years and were in a state of decay, requiring external remediation by others. However the top of the brickwalls were still requiring a remedy in which would not only give a more eye pleasing finish, but a long term, low maintenance option for the landlords.

The Works

Kladworx recommended that 18mm ply be placed over the top of the brick walls with a dpc layer to stop all water ingress into the top brickwork, which had been a long term problem for the client.

Once all the preparation work was complete, we then installed the steel brackets/ cleats directly through the ply and into the existing brickwork. These brackets are spaced out at a maximum 1500mm centres, and this can be reduced based on high wind loading areas.

Alumasc aluminium coping is then push fit down (secret fix), onto the existing cladding brackets for a clean, sleek finish.
